School Council

At SS Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School, our School Council is an integral part of the school’s commitment to pupil voice and leadership, rooted in Catholic values. The council provides children from Year 1 to Year 6 with the opportunity to actively participate in the life of the school, fostering a sense of responsibility, collaboration, and service to in the spirit of the Gospel.

Our School Council is guided by principles of Catholic social teaching, encouraging students to reflect on fairness, justice, and the dignity of all individuals. Through regular meetings and discussions, council members represent the views of their peers, contributing to decisions that improve our school community. They are empowered to lead projects that promote wellbeing, support charitable initiatives, and strengthen our connections with local and global communities.

This leadership role helps nurture the personal development of our pupils, allowing them to grow in confidence, resilience, and develop key skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, all within a framework of faith and service. By fostering these attributes, we prepare our children to become compassionate leaders who contribute positively to society, living out their faith in action.
