Oral Health
As part of the EYFS Framework, we promote oral health and hygiene because early oral health habits need to be established at an early age. Tooth decay is preventable and we want to work with parents and carers to educate our pupils about the importance of oral health.
We promote oral health by teaching the children about tooth brushing and looking after their teeth, eating a healthy balanced diet and making ‘sugar swaps’. We are extremely lucky at SSPP because we have the expertise of Mrs Moss (who has 11 years experience as a dental nurse) to ensure we are giving the correct, appropriate advice to children and their parents/carers.
