Welcome
‘Together, with the Spirit we will create an oasis where every child matters’
It is my pleasure, on behalf of the staff, governors and pupils to welcome you to Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School. We are a Catholic primary school that has been established in Tyne Dock since 1889. The present school was built in the late 1960’s. Parents who do send their child to a Catholic school do so because they desire for the children to have not only a good secular education, but also a meaningful, spiritual and moral education. We aim to provide a safe, happy, caring and responsible community, in which your child can learn, enjoy and be valued as a unique individual. We aim to nurture their varying gifts and skills while providing the high-quality education necessary to prepare them for all experiences that life will offer them. We are extremely proud of our pupils at Ss Peter and Paul who are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, working in partnership with the Parish and parents. We encourage you to be actively involved in your child’s education. We hope you will enjoy your visit to our website. You will find details about our curriculum, school events, visitors and activities that serve to enliven the curriculum, alongside information about our after school clubs and extra curricular activities. We look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you for the next 7 or 8 years.
– Best Wishes Maria Butt
Our School
We are a Catholic primary school that has been established in Tyne Dock since 1889. The present school was built in the late 1960’s.
We are a close-knit family school with a developing Pastoral System to help your child and the school’s staff to grow together in a positive and caring way. We have many links with the parish and the parents. We encourage you to be actively involved in your child’s education.
Our Parish school has a long family tradition. Perhaps you are continuing that family association or you may be making contact for the first time. Whatever the reason, you, and your child are very welcome in what we hope will be a warm and successful partnership.
Parents who do send their child to a Catholic school do so because they desire for the children to have not only a good secular education, but also a meaningful, spiritual and moral education.
We expect parents who send their children to our school to be in sympathy with our ethos.
