Autumn arrives in Reception

We have been making Autumn Crowns this week. We used lots of maths to help us make them. Please ask your child to find out how we made them.

Reception Remember

Teaching our children about the significance of Remembrance Day and why people wear a poppy is not always an easy thing to do.
Today in class we watched a short animation produced by CBeebies. It is simply entitled ‘Poppies’ and helps to convey the notion of remembrance in a way that would resonate with a young audience.
After watching this we decided to make our own poppies to help us remember. Later in the day we took our poppies to the prayer wall in our prayer garden and placed a painted stone on the poppy made by all our friends in school.

Deanna talks to us about Judaism

Yesterday we were learning about Judaism. We welcomed Deanna into our school and we were very lucky to spend time with her learning about the creation story and about a very special, holy day in their week. Tonight we will be bringing home our very special glasses. Ask us about these glasses and why we use them.
