Well done to our Stars of of the Week 2-11-17, you make all your teachers so proud.
Well done to our stars of the week, we are proud of you all!
The children are welcome to come into school on Tuesday dressed in their Halloween 🎃 costumes.
Today the School Council have embarked on a mission to help a newly established trust to raise funds. We are supporting the Together Forever Trust. The trust has been set up in memory of Liam Curry and Chloe Rutherford. The aims of the trust are to help children achieve their dreams and reach their full potential in sport and performance. From tomorrow the School Council will be selling wristbands at a cost of £1.00. The bands will also be available from Mrs Hawkins in Y1 after school if any parents would like to pop in and purchase adult or child size wristbands too.
The children are committed to supporting this cause and are very enthusiastic about raising as much as we can to help the trust over the months ahead.
The children from the School Council are designing a poster to advertise the wristbands so watch out for it over the next few days.
Thank you for continued support.
Goldilocks has been in our Nursery! She ate all the bears porridge so we had to make them some more. The children said daddy bear needed the most as he is the biggest with the biggest tummy! We had to taste it to check it was just right for baby bear! 🐻🐻🐻
Congratulations to our new school buddies 2017-2018
This year our buddies will be very busy organising playground games and termly inter house playground competitions. They will also be there as pupil support at play and lunch times ensuring that friendship is at the centre of our play. Well done buddies I’m looking forward to working with you this year. Today Year 3 learned about St. Paul’s letter to the Colossians. They had to interpret what we have to do to be a Holy People.
We used imovie and camera to help us make our own trailers to show how we can be Holy People.
Yesterday the Rise Theatre Company visited school. Years 5 and 6 participated in workshops and the whole school enjoyed a play about Oscar Romero. The key messages were YOU MATTER and LOVE NEVER GIVES UP.
This morning our school’s Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy went to the Town Hall to witness the unveiling of a memorial bench for Liam Curry and Chloe Rutherford. They represented our school beautifully on this very special occasion. They all enjoyed a well deserved treat afterwards.
Yesterday the House Groups elected our House Captains and Vice Captains.
All the teacher were very proud of how eloquently the candidates spoke. They all worked very hard on their speeches.
Well done to all those who took part.
