Welcome to our website

Thank you for all your help and support in making the summer fayre a huge success.

‘Together, with the Spirit we will create an oasis where every child matters’

It is my pleasure, on behalf of the staff, governors and pupils to welcome you to Ss Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Primary School. We are a Roman Catholic primary school that has been established in Tyne Dock since 1889. The present school was built in the late 1960’s.

S.S. Peter α Paul’s School is a voluntary-aided parish school which means that it is supported, pastorally and financially by the church going people of our Parish.

Parents who do send their child to a Catholic school do so because they desire for the children to have not only a good secular education, but also a meaningful, spiritual and moral education.

We aim to provide a safe, happy, caring and responsible community, in which your child can learn, enjoy and be valued as a unique individual.

We aim to nurture their varying gifts and skills while providing the high-quality education necessary to prepare them for all experiences that life will offer them. We are extremely proud of our pupils at Ss Peter and Paul who are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, working in partnership with the Parish and parents. We encourage you to be actively involved in your child’s education.

We hope you will enjoy your visit to our website. You will find details about our curriculum, school events, visitors and activities that serve to enliven the curriculum, alongside information about our after school clubs and extra curricular activities.

We look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you for the next 7 or 8 years.

Best Wishes

Liam and Chloe’s Bench

This morning our school’s Head Girl, Deputy Head Girl, Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy went to the Town Hall to witness the unveiling of a memorial bench for Liam Curry and Chloe Rutherford. They represented our school beautifully on this very special occasion. They all enjoyed a well deserved treat afterwards.

House Captains announced.

Yesterday the House Groups elected our House Captains and Vice Captains.

All the teacher were very proud of how eloquently the candidates spoke. They all worked very hard on their speeches.

Well done to all those who took part.
