Yesterday we were learning about Judaism. We welcomed Deanna into our school and we were very lucky to spend time with her learning about the creation story and about a very special, holy day in their week. Tonight we will be bringing home our very special glasses. Ask us about these glasses and why we use them.
Yesterday the Rise Theatre Company visited school. Years 5 and 6 participated in workshops and the whole school enjoyed a play about Oscar Romero. The key messages were YOU MATTER and LOVE NEVER GIVES UP.
Nursery had a great time with GreenShift Education during British Science Week. The Nursery children took part in a range of activities all about their senses. We had great fun using different senses while wearing blindfolds! Listening to sounds and guessing what it was, tasting different fruit and guessing what it was, touching different items in a bag without peeking and guessing what it was.
Our favourite game was dropping the coin into the cup with one eye closed!
We are excited to announce that our school has been awarded a FAB (Friends Against Bullies) award in recognition for our work on anti-bullying. We were recognised for our effective Pastoral Care system and for ensuring that our children know the difference between bullying behaviour and falling out. When asked, the children could describe many ways in which they feel safe, how they look after each other and make Ss Peter and Paul a happy place to be.
The school buddies attended the awards ceremony on Thursday 18th November. They all contributed to a great presentation about our anti-bullying work and received a trophy on behalf of everyone at Ss Peter and Paul.
We are SO proud of all of our children for achieving this fantastic award. WELL DONE!
